Author: Cats are known for loving their owners. You can reciprocate the love by purchasing a piece of jewelry for your cat. A designer cat collar is just the thing. No, it does not have to be a diamond collar, although it may be nice. And customized cat jewelry does not have to cost you an arm or leg. I found a site that had some wonderful crystal, themed and jeweled collars for cats as well as dogs. That’s enough of that, no more dog talk! So what kind of designer collar would you purchase for your special feline? Personalized collars are cute and fun. You can buy holiday themed collars. Some themed collars come with trees and miniature Santa’s for Christmas or Jack-o Lantern and , of course cats, for Halloween. There are collars that come with pre-determined phrases which I find kinda cute.
While searching the Internet, I found some different color leather collors with rhinestone studs which I thought interesting.
Then there are the jeweled , velvet or silver and gold link collars which can hold a array of cat charms which your cat will love. Okay maybe your cat won’t love it as much as you. You can also, purchase ID tags to personalize your pet’s collar. If you are not purchasing diamonds for your special feline, then you can find a wide array of rhinestone collars and charms which can almost take the place of the real thing. All in all designer cat collars and cat jewelry can be relatively inexpensive and affordable.
There are some things you need to think about before buying that special collar for your cat. Remember to be very careful when purchasing jewelry for your cats. If you shop online, most sites will have you to measure your feline’s neck area in order to make sure that the collar fits correctly. This is a good idea. Designer cat collars are not the break away collars that can be found in most pet and convenience stores. Some cats will twist and pull at a collar if it is not comfortable. Something else to consider is if your cat does not like to have material around his/her neck you may want to stick with a break away collar which is a safer collar which will not harm your pet.
However, if your cat likes to look and sit pretty, then designer cat collars are perfect to show how much you love your little kitty! One thing to remember is just because the collar is pretty doesn’t mean it is safe. Make sure your feline has a safe cat collar.

A fancy cat collar can become you, and your cat’s, favorite piece of cat jewelry. Cat lovers everywhere know that adorning your cat with a fancy cat collar is close to to your cat being decked out in full kingly or queenly cat regalia. Many cat owners don’t want to put just any thing on their cat and so prefer to give their pet something a little more jazzy. There are so many different types of collars from which to choose your cat feel like it is the most beloved feline on the planet.
Crystal and rhinestone cat collars- come in many different shapes and colors. Do you want your cat to look fancy? Try a collar with some crystal or different colored jewels. These can range from the expensive (i.e., real diamonds and jewels) to non-expensive depending on the size of your pocketbook. Do you want your feline to look more sophisticated? Try a collar with pearls and studs all around. These are inexpensive and popular too. If you look on the Internet there are many sites that have a supply of fancy cat collars from which to choose. If you walk your cat or if your cat goes outside and you want an ensemble, purchase a matching fancy pet leash. Make sure you pay close attention to your pet if you use the collar with a leash.
Embroidered cat collars- are collars that have some kind of design embedded into the material. They can range from a cute cat paw design to a collar embroidered with your cats name, address and/or telephone number. Theme designs are popular as well. How about a collar with a Jack-o-lantern around Halloween or a bunny for Easter? Or how about a modern designer cat collar or a collar with flower power on it? The list of designs are endless.
Bling cat collars- Who wouldn’t want a little bling in their lives? Well kitty is no different. These collars can be anything from party pet collars which are really foo-foo and frilly, to real silver or gold collars which your cat can wear on special occasions. What about a color with your pets name spelled out in crystal? If you want to add more bling, don’t forget the pet ID tag in the shape of a heart or in the shape of a cat embedded with crystal or jewels. Faux fur and other fancy pet collars fall into the bling category too.
With all of the different cat collar varieties out there is no reason your kitty cant be fancy!

If your cat(s) is anything like mine then you know how difficult it can be to begin to get a cat comfortable with wearing a cat collar on a regular basis. Felines are so fiercely independent…for the most part, and they just don’t like anything on their person let alone having something like a collar wrapped around their necks. However, they will, after a short knock down drag out battle (lol), finally give in and stop trying to take the dreaded collar off. There are benefits to your cat wearing a collar that makes it worth the adjustment period your cat may experience.
The major benefit of having your cat wear a collar is that a collar helps to identify your pet. Pet identification is especially important if your cat likes to go out of doors. A colorful cat collar will help your cat stand out from other cats in the neighborhood. If your cat should, heaven forbid, stray too far away from home, get lost, or become injured, a personalized pet collar will assist the community or authorities in locating and returning your pet to you. If you have a feline that likes to stay outside all day, a fluorescent cat collar or at least one that has some kind of band which reflects light will help drivers to see your cat at night. This is a must if you live in the city or places where there is a lot of traffic
But let’s face it. Collars are fashionable and a well groomed cat looks great with the right collar! There are many types of cat collars from which to chose: Designer cat collars, novelty cat collars or ones with rhinestones are just some of the varieties to choose from. If you are so inclined, you can even have a collar made specially for your special cat.

Supermarkets, department stores, convenience stores and specialty shops usually have a supply of pet collars from which to choose.
